What is Lutinus (Progesterone) used for?

Lutinus is progestrone vaginal tablet used to assist with assisted reproduction such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). Lutinus is ude in these cases to increase luteal support in infertile women.

How should I use Lutinus (Progesterone)?

The dosage of Lutinus is 100mg three times each day. The tablet is to be administered vaginally. Treatment will usually begin during the egg retrieval stage of IVF and continue until 30 days after confirmation of pregnancy.

What are the side effects of Lutinus (Progesterone)?

The following side effects have been reported when taking Lutinus. If you think you are experiencing any of the following side effects, please contact your doctor.

  • headaches
  • abdominal pain and/or distention
  • nausea
  • uterine spasm
  • dizziness
  • insomnia
  • diarrhea
  • constipation
  • urticaria
  • rash
  • vulvovaginal disorders
  • vaginal mycosis
  • breast disorders
  • genital pruritus
  • peripheral odema

Please Note

Drugs that induce or inhibit the hepatic cytochrome-P450-3A4 system can decrease and increase the bioavailability of progesterone. Progesterone should not be used in conjunction with other vaginal medicines. Tell your doctor of all prescription and non-prescription products you are taking before beginning treatment with Lutinus.
